ISO 7409:2018 specifies the procedure for marking containers or labels for fertilizers. ISO 7409:2018 is applicable to all fertilizers in containers or bulk.
Abstract
Overview
ISO 7409:2018 - Fertilizers - Marking - Presentation and declarations specifies how fertilizers in containers or in bulk must be marked and labelled so users can identify product type, composition and safe use. The standard sets rules for label area, character sizes, declaration content and placement, and includes guidance for pre‑marked containers, small packages and bulk fertilizers. ISO 7409:2018 also encourages electronic labelling (for example 2D codes) and provides example declarations and label layouts in annexes.
