Overview
ISO 7583:2013 - Anodizing of aluminium and its alloys - Terms and definitions is an international terminology standard that defines vocabulary used in the anodizing of aluminium. The second edition (2013) revises the original 1986 edition and provides consistent, industry‑wide definitions covering anodized aluminium products, processes, surface finishes, pretreatments, oxide morphology, colouring, sealing, process control, defects, tests and performance characteristics. Use of this standard helps ensure unambiguous communication in specifications, procurement, testing and quality control.
