Abstract
Overview
ISO/IEC 30134-5:2017/Amd 1:2025 is an amendment to the international standard focused on key performance indicators (KPIs) for data centres, specifically addressing IT Equipment Utilization for servers (ITEUsv). This amendment refines the definition and scope of server utilization metrics by emphasizing the use of CPU utilization alone as the core indicator. It excludes servers where auxiliary processing accelerators (APAs)-additional compute devices that handle parallelized workloads alongside CPUs-perform the majority of computation.
