Overview
ISO 4406:2021 - Hydraulic fluid power - Fluids - Method for coding the level of contamination by solid particles - defines a standardized used to report the quantity and size distribution of solid particles in hydraulic fluids. The code converts particle counts into broad scale numbers so cleanliness can be communicated consistently across suppliers, manufacturers and service organizations.
