Overview
EN ISO 10893-2:2011 - "Non-destructive testing of steel tubes - Part 2" specifies requirements for automated eddy current testing of seamless and welded (except submerged arc‑welded, SAW) steel tubes for the detection of imperfections. The standard applies to tubes with an outside diameter ≥ 4 mm and can also be applied to hollow sections. It defines test techniques, equipment, calibration, personnel qualification and reporting needed to detect surface and near-surface defects according to specified acceptance levels.
