Apparatus Includes a pycnometer compliant with ISO 2811-1, a vacuum pump for degassing, and a high-precision balance capable of weighing up to 200 g with 1 mg resolution.

Procedure The powder sample is introduced into a pycnometer partially filled with displacement liquid. Air bubbles are removed by vacuum, and the pycnometer is filled to a specific mark. Masses are carefully recorded to enable density calculation. Measurements should be repeated twice under controlled temperature (23 ± 1 °C) and humidity conditions, with accepted result deviations within 2%.

Result Calculations and Reporting Density is expressed in grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm³), averaged over valid replicates. Detailed test reports must include sample details, pycnometer type, liquid used, test results, deviations from the standard method, observed anomalies, and testing date.
