Defines a test method for determining the crazing resistance of all glazed ceramic tiles except when the crazing is an inherent decorative feature of the product.
Abstract
Overview
ISO 10545-11:1994 is an internationally recognized standard that specifies a test method for determining the crazing resistance of glazed ceramic tiles. Crazing refers to the fine cracks or fissures that appear on the surface glaze of ceramic tiles, which can affect the aesthetic and functional quality of the product. This standard applies to all glazed ceramic tiles except when crazing is an intended decorative feature. The method uses a steam autoclave to simulate conditions that may cause crazing and evaluates the glaze's resistance.
