ISO 10765:2010 specifies a test method for the determination of some typical parameters of elastics for footwear using the strength/elongation graph, which is obtained from the tensile strength test. This method is applicable to any elastic material used for footwear.

Overview
ISO 10765:2010 - Footwear - Test method for the characterization of elastic materials - Tensile performance - specifies a standardized tensile test and analysis procedure to obtain the strength/elongation graph for any elastic material used in footwear (tapes, cords, fabrics). The method defines sampling, specimen preparation, conditioning, test apparatus and speeds, calculation of characteristic parameters (modulus, elastic gradient, limit of useful extension, maximum extension resistance, extension at break) and reporting requirements.
