Abstract
Overview
ISO 21569:2005/Amd 1:2013 is an amendment to ISO 21569:2005 that clarifies and updates requirements for qualitative nucleic acid‑based methods used to detect genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and derived products in foodstuffs. The amendment refines procedural language, acceptance rules for PCR replicate results, references to related ISO documents, and adds a validated taxon‑specific example (rice SPS gene) in Annex A to support method applicability and validation.
