ISO 8614:1997 - Ski bindings: Vocabulary defines standardized terms and definitions for ski bindings used in alpine and cross‑country skiing. Its purpose is to ensure unambiguous, consistent language across design, testing, manufacturing, instruction and regulation of ski bindings. The standard covers basic components, release and safety concepts, coordinate conventions and terminology related to falls and testing.
