EN ISO 10319:2024 - Geosynthetics: Wide‑width tensile test (ISO 10319:2024) is the CEN-endorsed international standard that defines an index method for determining the tensile properties of most geosynthetic products using a wide‑width strip. Published October 2024 and superseding EN ISO 10319:2015, this fourth edition clarifies terminology (force vs. load), refines strain definitions, and adds procedures for temperature conditioning and additional specimen types. The standard applies to polymeric, glass and metallic geosynthetics including woven and nonwoven geotextiles, geocomposites, geonets, geomats, geogrids (with possible specimen-dimension changes) and clay geosynthetic barriers. It excludes polymeric and bituminous geosynthetic barriers.
