EN ISO 12782-1:2012 - "Soil quality - Parameters for geochemical modelling of leaching and speciation of constituents in soils and materials - Part 1" specifies a laboratory method to determine the content of reactive iron in the form of amorphous iron oxides and hydroxides by extraction with ascorbic acid.
