EN ISO 3451-4:2024 (CEN adoption of ISO 3451-4:2024) specifies laboratory methods for the , covering both materials. The standard implements the general procedures of and provides method-specific guidance for calcination, sulfation and treatment when flame-retardant or volatilizable additives are present. It supersedes the 2000/1998 editions and adds an automatic device option (method D) to align with the revised .
