ISO 7363:1986 - "Cranes and lifting appliances - Technical characteristics and acceptance documents" defines the form, presentation and minimum content of the technical and acceptance documents that a manufacturer should supply with cranes and lifting appliances. Engine and motor ratings, hydraulic/electric system data, schematic diagrams (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic), gear ratios and brake characteristics, reeving and rope specifications.

Acceptance and delivery documents (Annex A.4–A.5)

Specimen acceptance documents to record test results, technical data in as‑supplied condition, and signatures of a competent person witnessing final tests.

Warnings and user responsibilities

Documents shall be available to owners/operators/inspectors; owners/users must have equipment examined and tested by a competent person before use.
