Applies to the following main measuring methods: automatic null balance, thermomagnetic or mangetic wind and differential pressure or "Quinke". Deals with ancillary units and applies to analyzers installed both indoors and outdoors. Indends to specify terminology and definitions, unify methods, specify tests and provide basic documents to support the application of standards of quality assurance ISO 9001, ISO 9002 and ISO 9003. The contents of the corrigenda of January 2003 and May 2003 have been included in this copy.
Abstract
Overview
IEC 61207-3:2002 is an international standard published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) that specifies the expression of performance for paramagnetic oxygen analyzers. This standard is part three of the broader IEC 61207 series focused on gas analyzers and their quality of operation. It specifically addresses the methodologies, terminology, and testing procedures for paramagnetic oxygen analyzers, applied in both indoor and outdoor installations.
This standard covers key paramagnetic oxygen measurement methods-automatic null balance, thermomagnetic (magnetic wind), and differential pressure (Quinke method). It aims to standardize definitions, unify testing methods, and support manufacturers and users with clear performance specifications aligned with quality assurance standards like ISO 9001, ISO 9002, and ISO 9003.
The 2002 edition, which consolidates corrigenda issued in 2003, revises the earlier 1998 publication, ensuring modern and accurate guidance for compliant gas analyzer performance evaluation.
