Overview
EN ISO 12683:2004 specifies requirements and test methods for mechanically deposited coatings of zinc (mechanical zinc plating) applied to fabricated metal articles for corrosion protection. The standard covers the coating process description (see Annex A), classification of coatings by thickness and finish, pretreatment and cleaning precautions, inspection and test methods, sampling, and conformity documentation.
