ISO 12683:2004 specifies the requirements for coatings of zinc that have been mechanically deposited on to fabricated metal articles to protect them from corrosion. It also describes the related test methods.
Abstract
Overview
EN specifies requirements and test methods for (mechanical zinc plating) applied to fabricated metal articles for corrosion protection. The standard covers the coating process description (see Annex A), classification of coatings by thickness and finish, pretreatment and cleaning precautions, inspection and test methods, sampling, and conformity documentation.
